Hillcrest Energy Technologies Ltd (CSE:HEAT, OTCQB:HLRTF) announced that proof-of-concept testing for its first zero voltage switching (ZVS) grid-tied inverter is being carried out.
The company said the component leverages its ZVS technology, which supports power applications to operate at higher levels and switching frequencies without compromising efficiency, and can be deployed across a range of grid-tied applications, including solar and wind generation, storage, vehicle-to-everything and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
"The initiation of proof-of-concept testing for our first ZVS grid-tied inverter marks a pivotal moment in our pursuit of redefining power conversion technologies,” Hillcrest chief technology officer Ari Berger said in a statement.
“This 800-volt, 10-kilowatt system, equipped with our innovative ZVS technology, is not merely a component; it's a testament to our commitment to advancing clean technology solutions.
“The adaptability of this proof of concept for various grid-tied applications, from renewable energy generation to EV charging infrastructure, positions us at the forefront of transformative opportunities, anticipated to generate multiple revenue streams in the future."
Berger described Hillcrest’s ZVS technology as a “game-changer” for the evolution of grid-tied energy systems.
