In an interview with Proactive London's Thomas Warner (TW), Oncimmune Holdings PLC (AIM:ONC)'s CEO Martin Gouldstone (MG) shared insights into the "relaunch" of the business under his leadership. Gouldstone, who joined the company in August, focused on the revised strategy centring around the Immune Insights platform in their Dortmund labs.
Thomas Warner (TW): Welcome, Martin. Tell us about the new strategy at Oncimmune since your arrival.
Martin Gouldstone (MG): Thanks, Thomas. Since joining in August, my priority has been to review and reshape Oncimmune's strategy, particularly focusing on our Immune Insights platform in Dortmund. The strategy we introduced in October expands our platform's drug discovery and development capabilities and targets various customer groups, from large pharmaceutical companies to smaller biopharma and CROs.
TW: Your background seems to align well with these goals.
MG: Yes, my experience in the industry dates back to 1990, including roles in major CROs and corporate finance. This diverse experience helps guide my approach to evolving Oncimmune's operations and strategic development.
TW: What achievements have you overseen so far, and how do you feel about the progress?
MG: We've reviewed the business thoroughly, from finances to operations. I'm delighted with our team's productivity and spirit in Dortmund, our strong ties with large pharma, and our growing commercial team. We've also recently announced four deals, demonstrating early success with our new strategy. I'm quite optimistic and enjoy leading these efforts.
TW: Looking forward, what can we expect from Oncimmune in the upcoming year?
MG: While specific predictions are challenging, our pipeline is strong and growing. We're in discussions for additional agreements, and I'm hopeful about maintaining our current momentum and success.
