Atlantic Lithium Ltd (AIM:ALL, OTCQX:ALLIF, ASX:A11) said it recorded a continuous pegmatite interval of 106 metres (m) in resource drilling at its Ewoyaa deposit in Ghana, the longest in its 2023 drilling programme.
“Multiple broad intervals of visible spodumene” were reported from drilling outside of the current resource area by the company.
Hole GRC1020 in the Dog-Leg extension target returned the longest interval from 6m. It lies on the northern tip of the Ewoyaa main deposit.
Other holes containing intervals of 51m and 74m were identified, though Atlantic noted they were all visual interpretations and needed to be assay tested.
Neil Herbert, executive chairman, said: “These intervals further improve our confidence in delivering an updated MRE upon completion of the current drilling programme in Q2 2024.
"We are excited to have intersected our longest pegmatite interval in the 2023 drilling programme to date.
“Occurring only 6m from the surface, the interval includes highlight intersections of visible coarse-grained spodumene over 74m from a depth of 39m and over 41m from a depth of 137m, respectively.
"The coarse-grained, P1-type nature of the spodumene fragments observed in reverse circulation drilling chips is very encouraging as it performs favourably in DMS-only processing, as planned at the Ewoyaa Lithium Processing Plant, with good recoveries.”
