Baselode Energy hits high-grade uranium at ACKIO prospect in Saskatchewan

Baselode Energy Corp (TSX-V:FIND, OTCQB:BSENF) has announced new uranium assays from five drill holes from the 7,512-metre (m) diamond drilling program within the ACKIO uranium prospect on the Hook project in Saskatchewan.

The uranium explorer said results included 4.03% uranium oxide over 0.55m at 126m vertical depth in AK23-102, which is the highest individual uranium assay result of the summer drill program.

"This intersection and previous results from this summer demonstrate the potential for additional high-grade uranium outside of what was previously thought for Pod 7," Baselode Energy CEO James Sykes said in a statement.

"We learn with each drill hole, and this new information will be well applied for 2024's exploration program on Hook, which will be our most extensive yet," he added.

Baselode noted that 36 drill holes were completed during the program and the mineralization encountered remains open along strike and at depth.

It added that assays are pending from six remaining exploration drill holes outside the ACKIO system.

As well, Baselode stated that the results from hole AK23-102 suggest uranium concentrations are getting stronger as exploration continues along the Pod 7 mineralized corridor.

Baselode Energy controls 100% of about 264,172 hectares in the Athabasca Basin area in northern Saskatchewan. The company discovered the ACKIO near-surface, high-grade uranium deposit in September 2021.
