Powerhouse Energy Group PLC has announced that acting chief executive Paul Emmitt has taken up the role on a permanent basis.
Formerly chief operating officer of the waste to energy technology company, Emmitt was appointed to head up Powerhouse on an interim basis in September.
This followed a strategic shift for Powerhouse after it took full control of its plastics-to-hydrogen project at the Protos site near Chester earlier this year.
Under this, the company aims to develop revenue streams through engineering services, alongside a portfolio of capital projects such as its waste plastic-to-hydrogen process.
"I am delighted that Paul has agreed to be appointed as chief executive officer full time,” interim chairman David Hitchcock commented.
“This is an exciting time for the company, and I look forward to the future ahead for Powerhouse Energy and providing further updates to our shareholders in due course.”
