Volta Metals kicks off initial drill program at Falcon West lithium project

Volta Metals Ltd (CSE:VLTA) announced that it has started its inaugural 11-hole drill program at its Falcon West lithium project located in northwestern Ontario.

The company said it plans to test the spodumene-bearing lithium pegmatite dykes identified over a 300-metre by 500-metre area during its Phase 1 exploration this summer.

It aims to confirm the high-grade surface channel sample in addition to extending mineralization at depth.

"This inaugural drill program marks a significant milestone for the Falcon West project and for Volta shareholders,” Volta CEO Kerem Usenmez said in a statement.

"Our team has discovered lithium mineralization on surface, generating drill targets in a very short period of time."

Toronto-based Volta is a mineral exploration company focused on lithium, cesium, and tantalum. It has optioned and is currently exploring a critical minerals portfolio of lithium, cesium, and tantalum projects in northwestern Ontario.
