Filament Health Corp (NEO:FH, OTCQB:FLHLF) and its partner PharmAla Biotech (CSE:MDMA) announced the release of a second batch of MDMA capsules encapsulated at Filament’s facility in Metro Vancouver.
The companies said that the LaNeo MDMA capsules in this batch will be utilized in the Health Canada Special Access Program and for clinical trials in a variety of jurisdictions.
Additionally, they noted that Filament has completed two exports of the capsules to Emyria and Monash University in Australia.
“There is significant demand for good manufacturing practice (GMP) MDMA drug product and we are proud to meet that need with our industry-leading manufacturing capabilities,” Filament Health CEO Benjamin Lightburn said in a statement.
“We’re pleased to continue building our valuable partnership with PharmAla.”
PharmAla CEO Nick Kadysh commented that, with several regulatory changes over the past six months, the company has seen strong demand for the LaNeo MDMA capsules.
“With this second released batch, we’ve been incredibly proud to continue our work with the team at Filament to execute manufacture of our second batch of capsules,” Kadysh said.
“I’m also pleased that the manufacture of this batch of materials has significantly decreased our cost of goods, allowing us to improve pricing and access for GMP LaNeo MDMA capsules for patients and clinical trial practitioners.”
