Infinity Lithium Corporation Ltd (ASX:INF) subsidiary Extremadura New Energies has received a positive final assessment for the urban compatibility of the San José Lithium Project in Spain from Cáceres Local Government (City Hall).
The report is to be included in Extremadura’s final Exploitation Concession submission.
The company's submission for the Urban Compatibility Classification under the ‘Informe acreditativo de la compatibilidad del Proyecto Minero Valdeflórez' (Urban Compatibility Classification) was reviewed by City Hall.
This assessment concluded that the Valdeflórez Mining Project aligns with the local urban legislative requirements and is not deemed incompatible.
Expedited permitting could be on the cards
This determination by City Hall has solidified the permitting process.
The Urban Compatibility Classification now forms an integral part of the submissions for both the PREMIA application and the Exploitation Concession Application (ECA).
The project continues to be a candidate for the projects of general and regional interest (PREMIA) project classification. This status potentially allows for expedited permitting processes.
INF plans to submit the PREMIA application to the Consejería de Economía, Empleo y Transformación Digital of the Regional Government of Extremadura.
