Snap Inc (NYSE:SNAP) got on the front foot in Tuesday’s early deals, rising 5.2%, with the news that Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) will use the social network for e-commerce advertising.
Through a new deal between Amazon and Snap, as reported by Reuters, e-commerce shopping ads will be deployed into Snapchat allowing users to shop directly with Amazon from within the platform.
It follows similar arrangements with Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:FB), the Facebook and Instagram parent company.
Analysts expect such deals to further grow Amazon’s ‘funnel’ conversion and boost average revenue per user.
In New York, Snap shares were up 56 cents or 4.96%, changing hands at $11.86.
