Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies Holdings PLC (LSE:OCTP, OTC:OCTHF) has appointed Dr Tim Corn to the position of executive director, effective immediately.
The company said the move recognised Corn's "exceptional experience and valued contribution" as chief medical officer (CMO) since June, a period marked by the successful completion of OCTP's first phase I clinical trial.
"I'm delighted that Tim has agreed to join our board of directors," said chief executive Clarissa Sowemimo-Coker.
"His record speaks for itself and his comprehensive experience of drug development, from its early stages through to regulatory approval and commercialisation is hugely valuable for OCTP.
"I am confident that his contribution will be invaluable to the board as OCTP takes its next steps on the clinical pathway for both OCT461201 and our other programmes".
Before his tenure at the company, he was a CMO at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. During his career, he has been involved in over 20 regulatory approvals across the United States and Europe. Additionally, Corn is a respected author with more than 40 scientific publications to his name.
