Southern Gold Ltd (ASX:SAU) is changing its name to Iondrive Limited while the ticker will change to ION. These changes will be effective tomorrow, November 15, 2023.
The change of the company’s name to Iondrive Limited follows overwhelming shareholder approval for the change at a meeting on November 9, 2023.
Also effective tomorrow, the company will also change its website address to Iondrive.com.au with an accompanying change in logo.

Managing director Robert Smillie said Iondrive symbolised the company's dedication to sourcing and developing the materials that power a sustainable future.
“As our business strategy advances, with the continuing focus on exploration for minerals critical to the global clean energy transition and the recent expansion into the commercialisation of battery technologies, it was becoming imperative to adopt a new brand identity that better reflects this evolving strategy," he said.
"Complementing the introduction of our new name, Iondrive, we are also revealing a new logo that embodies our renewed commitment.
"This logo signifies our strategic pivot towards advanced battery technology and materials. It represents the dynamic future we envision, driven by our proprietary technology and our exploration expertise within South Korea.”
