United Auto Workers (UAW) production workers at the Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) Louisville assembly and Kentucky truck plants voted against the tentative labor agreement between the union and the automaker, according to a UAW local chapter.
Specifically, 55% of production workers voted not to ratify the deal, while 69% of skilled trade workers, which includes construction employees, voted in favor, the UAW Local 862 posted on Facebook.
The combined percentage and result of the vote were not revealed, but the divide puts the tentative agreement, which ended a roughly six-week strike, in jeopardy.
However, more than 70% of Ford’s workers across all facilities have voted in favor of the deal, according to data from a UAW vote tracker.
Last month, Ford withdrew its full-year guidance due to the effects of the strike.
In addition to Ford, UAW members across the country are voting on whether to approve contracts with General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) and Chrylser-parent Stellantis NV (NYSE:STLA, EPA:STLA).
On Friday, workers at GM’s Flint, Michigan assembly plant narrowly voted to reject the proposed deal.
