United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:UAL) confirmed on Monday that it is resuming flights to Tel Aviv in Israel from Newark airport starting on November 24.
The airline was one of many to suspend flights to and from Israel’s capital after the war in Gaza broke out in October.
Other US carriers American Airlines and Delta have suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until December 4 and November 21, respectively.
Of the three carriers who operated flights between the United States and Israel, United had the biggest exposure, according to a Reuters report.
United Airlines warned in mid-October when handing down its third-quarter financial results that the suspension of its Israel service in addition to higher fuel costs would drag on its fourth-quarter profits.
Its stock sank more than 10% to close at a 12-month low.
United shares traded hands at US$37.90 on Monday morning.
