G2 Energy Corp (CSE:GTOO, OTC:GTGEF) announced that it has appointed Midland, Texas-based Randy Smith as its Vice President of Business Development.
The company said that Smith will be responsible for bringing it opportunities that fit its criteria for development in the Permian Basin, being immediate cash flow positive, able to optimize production by 50% organically, and with room for “blue sky” drilling, among others.
G2 said that Smith had more than two decades of experience in management sales with oil and gas-related technologies.
For the last seven years as the CEO of Whetstone Resources, he has been focused on the acquisition, development and operations of conventional and unconventional oil and associated liquids-rich natural gas reverse in the Permian Basement.
“The hiring of Randy Smith represents G2’s continued commitment to add 'boots on the ground' and take advantage of the local connections, expertise, and capital that this brings,” G2 CEO Slawek Smulewicz said in a statement.
“G2 is delighted to add Randy to the team, and we look forward to beginning the due diligence on the initial opportunities that Randy has already outlined.”
G2 is focused on acquiring and developing overlooked, low-risk, high-return opportunities in the oil and gas sector. It is seeking to acquire a portfolio of risk-managed production and development opportunities onshore in the United States.
