Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) group finance director Andrew Duxbury has been poached by FTSE 100 housebuilder Persimmon PLC (LSE:PSN) to be its new chief financial officer.
Duxbury has given notice of his resignation to the construction group, which said it has already begun the search to replace him.
A further update will be provided in due course, with Persimmon noting that the start date has not yet been confirmed.
Galliford Try said Duxbury will remain focused on the delivery of the group's performance and sustainable growth strategy as well as ensuring a smooth and effective transition of his roles and responsibilities.
Bill Hocking, chief executive, said: "On behalf of the board I would like to thank Andrew for the contribution he has made since the successful divestment of the housebuilding business in 2020 and in supporting the group's year on year sustainable growth."
Duxbury said: "I will leave the business in an excellent position, with a strong balance sheet, an experienced finance and management team, and well placed to deliver further sustainable growth."
He has worked in various finance roles at Galliford Try for over 10 years, taking his current role in March 2019. Prior to Galliford Try, he spent 16 years at PwC.
