eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) fell more than 6% after the company posted underwhelming guidance for the holiday quarter.
The ecommerce company guided for fourth-quarter earnings between $1 and $1.05 on revenue between $2.47 billion to $2.53 billion. Analysts had projected $1.05 per share on sales of $2.6 billion.
Robinhood Markets Inc (NASDAQ:HOOD) reported third-quarter revenue that missed Wall Street estimates due to a slowdown in trading activity on its investment platform, sending its shares lower after Tuesday’s closing bell.
Shares of Robinhood were down more than 8% at US$9.11 following the release of its financial results. For 3Q, the company said its revenue grew 29% year-over-year to $467 million. Analysts, however, had been expecting revenue of $480.2 million.
Gilead Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD) shares fell 1.5% after the company posted third-quarter 2023 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.29, surpassing the analyst consensus forecast of $1.91, according to Zacks Equity Research.
The drugmaker’s revenue for the period, meanwhile, was flat year over year at $7.1 billion but still exceeded Wall Street expectations of $6.77 billion.
Rivian Automotive Inc (NASDAQ:RIVN) shares moved 3.3% higher in afterhours trade on Tuesday as the electric vehicle (EV) maker reported a smaller-than-expected third-quarter loss and raised its full-year production guidance.
The Irvine, California-based startup now expects to produce 54,000 vehicles during 2023, up from its prior guidance of 52,000 vehicles.
Lucid Group Inc (NASDAQ:LCID) shares fell 3% following a third-quarter revenue miss and a reduction in production guidance.
The EV maker posted revenue of $137.8 million in the period, down 30% year-over-year and below Street expectations of $185.1 million.
Shares of TKO Holdings, the recently created holding company for UFC and WWE, climbed more than 1% following the company's first quarterly report since the two entities merged.
The company, majority controlled by Endeavor Group Holdings (NYSE:EDR), saw its revenue jump 32% year over year to $449.1 million. UFC revenue was $397.5 million, lifted by additional TV and live events.
Notably, that only includes WWE’s influence from September 12 to September 30 following the WWE and UFC merger. Had the WWE’s full quarter been included, the total revenue would have been more than $235 million higher.
