Valeo Pharma Inc. (TSX:VPH, OTCQB:VPHIF) said Richard Lajoie has joined its board of directors while Maureen C. Brennan has retired from the board.
Lajoie was president of Bausch Health, Canada from 2017 to 2021 and was later president of Ortho Dermatologics US, based in New Jersey. He had also spent 12 years with Novartis Pharmaceuticals in roles of increasing responsibility.
In a statement, chairman Richard MacKay welcomed Lajoie, noting his pharmaceutical industry experience.
"We would also like to thank Maureen for her 5 years of dedication, contribution and guidance to our board of directors during a period of transformational growth as Valeo developed into a leading Canadian pharmaceutical company,” he added.
Based in Kirkland, Quebec, Valeo focuses on commercializing innovative prescription products mainly involving respiratory/allergy, ophthalmology and hospital specialty products.
