The Afterhours — Goodyear, Tripadvisor, Vimeo, NXP Semiconductors

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (NASDAQ:GT) shares fell 0.7% in extended trading Monday after the company announced third-quarter 2023 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.36, topping the analyst consensus forecast of $0.18, according to Zacks Equity Research.

Its revenue for the period, meanwhile, decreased 3.2% to $5.14 billion, falling just short of the $5.16 billion expected by Wall Street, which the company attributed to commercial truck industry weakness and lower other-tire related sales.

Tripadvisor Inc (NASDAQ:TRIP) shares moved more than 12% higher in as it reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.

The travel research platform posted revenue of $533 million, up 16% over the year-ago quarter and ahead of estimates of $506 million. Revenue in its tours and attractions business Viator grew 41% over the same period last year from $174 million to $245 million.

Vimeo stock jumped more than 16% after the video-sharing platform unexpectedly reported a profit for the third quarter.

For the three months ended September 30, 2023, it posted earnings of $8.5 million or $0.05 per share, an improvement from a loss of $21.4 million or a loss per share of $0.13 in the year-ago quarter. Analysts had been expecting a loss per share of $0.06.

NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ:NXPI) shares climbed 0.7% after topping Street expectations on the top and bottom lines.

The Dutch semiconductor company posted adjusted earnings of $3.70 per share, above expectations of $3.58 per share. Revenue was $3.43 billion, beating analyst projections of $3.39 billion.
