Aeris Resources hits up to 2.34% copper at Tritton’s Constellation deposit; confirms extension

Aeris Resources Ltd (ASX:AIS, OTC:ARSRF) has encountered high-grade copper in five of six extensional holes drilled at the Constellation deposit of the tenement package at Tritton operations in New South Wales.

Drilling results have extended mineralisation 200 metres down plunge and 100 metres along strike from the existing mineral resource boundary, offering an opportunity to expand the resource.

The best result from this extensional drilling was 9.8 metres at 2.34% copper, 0.69 g/t gold and 3.1 g/t silver.

Deposits remain open at depth

“This recently completed drill program at Constellation has been very successful,” Aeris Resources executive chair Andre Labuschagne said.

“We have confirmed that mineralisation continues 200 metres down plunge and 100 metres along strike from the current mineral resource estimate.

“Constellation also remains open down-plunge and along strike. A consistent geological feature of the known deposits on the Tritton tenement package is significant down-plunge continuity of mineralisation.

“The Tritton, Budgerygar, Murrawombie, Avoca Tank, Kurrajong and Constellation deposits all remain open down plunge, with Tritton mineralisation to date traced over 2 kilometres down-plunge and remains open.”

The company was also able to define a high-grade copper corridor of over 160 metres in length, between drill hole TAKD094 which returned 5.85 metres at 2.23% copper and TAKD095, which returned 25.95 metres at 3.81% copper.

More exploration to come

"We will kick off a follow-up drill program at Constellation early in the new year seeking to test additional electromagnetic (EM) plates at depth and also improve resource confidence in the upper sections of the deposit,” Labuschagne continued.

“Our technical team is well advanced with the environmental impact study (EIS) and we expect to submit in the coming March quarter.

“Constellation is an exciting opportunity with potential to be a cornerstone source of both sulphide and oxide ore at Tritton.”

Aeris says its EIS is well advanced, having encountered no major issues, and expects to release the study in early 2024.
