Dish Network (NASDAQ:DISH), down 10% to $4.94, reported a drop in third-quarter revenue amid declining pay-TV subscribers, triggering a loss for its fiscal third quarter.
The US owner of the direct-broadcast satellite provider Dish said in a statement that pay-TV subscribers decreased by roughly 64,000 in Q3, compared to a net increase of approximately 30,000 in the year-ago quarter. Read more
Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA), up 1.4% to $223, was on trading higher in Monday’s early premarket deals as chief executive Elon Musk got on the front foot in German labor relations – giving workers a pay rise and reportedly promising to build a line of budget EVs in the country.
The EV pioneer is to pay workers 4% more at its plant near Berlin, it was confirmed as Musk visited German late last week. Read more
OrganiGram Holdings (TSX-V:OGI, NASDAQ:OGI), up 32% to $1.53, has extended its relationship with British American Tobacco PLC (LSE:BATS) boosting its financial strength and positioning it to expand beyond Canada. The licensed producer of cannabis said BAT, the owner of Rothmans and Lucky Strike, is investing a further C$124.6 million in the business, building on an initial C$221 million injection back in 2021. BioNTech, up 4% to $100.00, lowered its forecast for this year’s Covid-19 vaccine sales by 20%, becoming the latest drugmaker to adjust its expectations in the post-pandemic era. The German company said it now expects 2023 vaccine sales of around €4 billion, down from previous guidance of €5 billion.
The company relies on vaccine-related profit share payments from its US partner, Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE), for much of its revenue, and said that write-downs reported by Pfizer in mid-October would reduce its third-quarter revenue by €508 million euros, compared with up to about €900 million initially flagged. Freshpet Inc (NASDAQ:FRPT), up 14.5% to $66.70, reported a strong rise in third-quarter sales and a reduced loss, saying 2023 is “shaping up” to be the kind of year it had hoped for. The Nasdaq-listed company, which sells fresh dog and cat food, reported a 33% rise in net sales to $201 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2023. Read more
Bumble Inc (NASDAQ:BMBL), down 5.3% to $12.95, founder Whitney Wolfe Herd will step down as CEO. Her successor, Lidiane Jones, comes from Salesforce-owned Slack and before that had over a decade at Microsoft.
Wolfe Herd, who launched Bumble in 2014, will continue with the company as executive chair starting January 2. Read more
