Sidus Space awarded multi-million-dollar contract for commercial lunar transportation

Sidus Space Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) announced that it has been awarded a five-year Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a $10 million ceiling, to provide services to a US-owned company in support of their commercial lunar program.

The Space and Defense-as-a-Service satellite firm said it will be supporting a lunar transportation, infrastructure and exploration services company with program management, flight software, command & data handling (C&DH), electrical and thermal support services.

"The moon provides an opportunity to build an infrastructure that enables human permanence on the moon and a transition to commercial operations past lower earth orbit and on to more distant destinations," Sidus Space CEO Carol Craig said in a statement.

Sidus Space noted that a commercial lunar platform includes everything from payload integration and operations, to launching from Earth and landing on the surface of the Moon.

Sidus Space is a Space and Defense-as-a-Service satellite company focused on mission-critical hardware manufacturing; multi-disciplinary engineering services; satellite design, production, launch planning, mission operations; and in-orbit support.
