TRU Precious Metals Corp. (TSX-V:TRU, OTCQB:TRUIF) told investors it has engaged professor Garth Earls to support its Technical Committee as its project evaluation advisor.
The company noted in a statement that Earls has over 40 years of professional experience in mineral exploration and mining in Ireland and internationally and was part of the team that discovered the 6 million-ounce Curraghinalt gold deposit in Northern Ireland.
His mandate is to develop a technically oriented assessment of the development potential of TRU’s gold-copper Golden Rose Project in central Newfoundland, as well as evaluate the technical and economic merit of other natural resources opportunities as they arise.
Earls has worked extensively on gold and base metal deposits and mineralization in Ireland and the UK. He is a former director of the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland, a former director of the CSA Group and a past chairman of the Geosciences Committee of the Royal Irish Academy.
Additionally, he delivers the Economic Geology course at University College Cork in Ireland and is currently executive chairman of International Geoscience Services.

TRU said Earls' services will be provided under a technical services agreement between TRU and its strategic investor and controlling shareholder Ormonde Mining PLC, which was considered and approved by TRU's disinterested directors.
TRU is exploring for gold and copper in the highly prospective Central Newfoundland Gold Belt on its 100%-owned Golden Rose Project, originally optioned from TSX-listed Altius Minerals.
