PYX Resources sales up 50% as zircon demand holds firm

PYX Resources Ltd (LSE:PYX, NSX:PYX) lifted premium zircon sales by 54% in its latest quarter with prices also holding up at around 64% above the level of two years ago as supplies remain short.

Oliver Hasler, chief executive, said he was delighted with the quarter’s outcome, which also included a 43% production increase.

Premium zircon output increased by 61% to 4.0kt, the highest to date in a quarter, while sales of premium zircon increased 88% to 4.2kt (Q3 2022: 2.3kt) driven by demand from China and India.

“Our diversified global client base has allowed us to manage and minimise risk,” Hasler said.

"As we enter the second half of the year, we are optimistic about our strategic plan and the continued rise of Mineral Sands prices.”

Based in Indonesia, PYX is the world’s third-largest listed zircon producer by resources.
