Trainline PLC (LSE:TRN) moved its forecasts for the full year towards the top end of its guidance after first-half revenues jumped by 19% and with ticket sales almost a quarter higher.
In the UK, Trainline added that its share of commuter tickets rose to 22% from 20% while combined ticket sales in Spain and Italy were up by 50%.
Revenue in the six months to the end June rose to £197 million, with pre-tax profits 34% ahead at £18.1 million. Total ticket sales rose to £2.65 billion, up by 23%.
Guidance for the full year is now for growth in revenue of between 15-20%, net ticket sales of 17%-22% and underlying profits between 2.15% and 2.25% of net ticket sales.
