e-Therapeutics PLC has sealed a partnership with Arcturis Data that will use the pair's technology and insights to help develop treatments for metabolic dysfunction, including nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a type of liver disease.
This collaboration will bring together Arcturis' Real-World Evidence, a platform filled with clinically rich, high-quality real-world data, and e-therapeutics' computational biology platform, HepNet.
"This effort complements ongoing work at e-therapeutics in metabolic diseases, and we believe that the collaboration will unveil unique insights into the biological mechanisms driving NASH that we can target to deliver effective RNAi medicines to patients," said e-therapeutics chief executive Ali Mortazavi.
Under the terms of the agreement between the two companies, e-therapeutics will have the exclusive rights to nominate gene targets that are derived from this partnership.
