QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) shares moved higher in afterhours trade as the chipmaker reported better-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter financial results and issued strong guidance for the December quarter.
It projected revenue in the range of $9.1 to $9.9 billion, ahead of analysts’ expectations of $9.2 billion.
It also expects adjusted earnings per share (EPS) in the range of $2.25 to $2.45, beating expectations of $2.23. Read more
Airbnb Inc (NASDAQ:ABNB) shares moved lower after the closing bell as the alternative accommodation platform projected weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter revenues.
It projected 4Q revenue in the range of $2.13 billion to $2.17 billion, below Wall Street estimates of $2.18 billion.
“We are seeing greater volatility early in Q4, and are closely monitoring macroeconomic trends and geopolitical conflicts that may impact travel demand,” Airbnb said in a letter to shareholders. Read more
DoorDash Inc (NYSE:DASH) delivered record third-quarter 2023 revenue that rose 27% year over year to $2.16 billion, while its net loss for the period narrowed to $0.19 per share from $0.77 per share a year earlier.
DoorDash’s 3Q financials were the strongest quarterly results since the company went public in 2020, as customers ordered more than they did during the pandemic. Read more
PayPal Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:PYPL) saw its 3Q results surpass analyst estimates on the top and bottom lines.
The company delivered a solid quarter with adjusted EPS reaching $1.30, surpassing the forecasted $1.22. Additionally, the company reported net revenues of $7.4 billion, exceeding the expected revenue of $7.39 billion.
That marked a 13% year-over-year improvement in earnings and 8% in revenue. Read more
Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter results that topped analysts’ estimates and raised its full-year profit projection on its expectations that its revamped soccer franchise 'FC 24' will continue to drive growth.
The California-based video game company reported 2Q net bookings of $1.82 billion, up 4% year over year and ahead of Street estimates of $1.77 billion.
Total revenue was $1.91 billion, up slightly from $1.90 billion in the year-ago quarter. EPS improved from $1.07 in 2Q 2022 to $1.47, above estimates of $1.25. Read more
Roku Inc (NASDAQ:ROKU) shares added more than 16% in afterhours trading as its third-quarter revenue came in above Wall Street estimates.
The manufacturer of streaming and other home entertainment devices reported revenue of $913 million, up 20% year over year and ahead of estimates of $857.41 million. Read more
