Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Ltd (LSE:CORD) chairman Steven Marshall splashed almost £700,000 last week buying a substantial chunk of shares in the digital telecoms specialist.
Marshall purchased 1.128 million ordinary shares last Friday at a price of 61p each, a cost of a shade over £687,000 in total, and topping up the size of his stake by more than 21%.
A co-founder of the business, Marshall now owns a total of 6.928 million ordinary shares, which takes the percentage owned by directors and the investment manager to 1.20% of the entire issued share capital, said the statement.
A telecoms infrastructure specialist, Cordiant recently acquired Speed Fibre DAC, a major fibre optic network operator in Ireland, for €97 million, marking its fourth significant purchase.
