Scancell Holdings PLC (AIM:SCLP, OTC:SCNLF) told investors that it has been selected for a poster presentation of data from the first stage of its Phase 2 SCOPE melanoma treatment trial at a prominent industry meeting.
Initial positive data from the SCOPE trial, which is investigating the company's lead ImmunoBody cancer vaccine SCIB1 in combination with checkpoint inhibitors in advanced melanoma, was published in September.
The presentation will be made this Friday at the 38th annual meeting of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) taking place from today until Sunday in San Diego, California.
Scancell's chief executive and chief scientific officer, professor Lindy Durrant, said the SCOPE trial is on track to complete recruitment by the end of 2023 with data available in the first half of 2024.
"We look forward to sharing more on these encouraging results at SITC and how this could make a significant impact on melanoma patient survival," she said.
A copy of the poster, which is entitled 'A DNA plasmid melanoma cancer vaccine, SCIB1, combined with nivolumab + ipilimumab in patients with advanced unresectable melanoma: Efficacy and safety results from the open-label Phase 2 SCOPE trial' will be available on the publications section of Scancell's website following the conference.
