Sidney Resources Corporation (OTC:SDRC) has added experienced attorney Joe Maier to its board of directors.
Maier has a background in mergers and acquisitions and trust law, and will play a role in guiding the company on governance and strategic planning, particularly regarding potential M&A activities, Sidney said.
The new board member specializes in estate planning, succession planning, deferred compensation design, executive compensation planning, income tax planning, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
He is also a highly regarded public speaker and an active member of several professional organizations.
Maier told shareholders that it is “humbling” to join an organization led by CEO Sean Zalewski.
“Sidney will reach new heights thanks to his energy and strategic acumen,” Maier said in a statement. “I'm thrilled to be able to contribute to its success."
CEO Zalewski called Maier “the most integral guide and mentor” and “instrumental” to his career.
"Joe's exceptional interdisciplinary experience and world-class expertise are at the pinnacle of corporate leadership, management, goal discovery, problem solving, and behavioral analysis in both finance and management…He is quite literally the fulcrum of success for any corporation or endeavor.”
Idaho-based Sidney Resources is a mineral exploration and development company actively engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of gold and silver mines.
