Phunware Inc (NASDAQ:PHUN) announced that as part of a three-year contract, it will be deploying its enhanced Smart Hospitality Solution at Wailea Beach Resort in Maui, part of the Marriott International (NYSE:MAR) portfolio of brands.
Features of the enhanced platform include interactive real-time mapping, wayfinding, and indoor positioning to guide guests across the property; advanced search and filtering of amenities; built-in booking of experiences; curated selections of on-property experiences; and audio streaming on points of interest so guests can hear details about the property.
Driving guests to the amenities and dining options available improves the guest experience and generates revenue for the hotel, Phunware pointed out.
The hotel can in the future extend the capabilities of the platform with additional integrations to support its business systems, such as on-demand ordering, concierge communication, and loyalty programs.
Phunware noted that it was chosen as the hotel’s preferred partner because of its experience with complex facilities, best-in-class blue-dot navigation, and hotel guest engagement.
“Our goal is to empower guests with seamless navigation through this luxury property, ensuring they can fully explore the wealth of amenities available at Wailea Beach Resort,” Phunware CEO Mike Snavely said in a statement.
