Sanderson Design climbs on Sainsbury’s licensing deal

Shares in Sanderson Design Group PLC (AIM:SDG) jumped by 4% on Monday, after the firm unveiled a licensing agreement with J Sainsbury PLC (LSE:SBRY).

Tableware and kitchen products featuring designs from Sanderson’s National Trust themed collection will be sold in Sainsbury’s shops from 2025 under the deal, a Monday statement revealed.

Sanderson will receive royalties from sales of such products, alongside a proportion going the the National Trust - which itself partnered with the designer in 2020.

“We are delighted to broaden our portfolio with the iconic Sanderson brand and we are certain customers will love the [...] timeless National Trust fabrics,” Sainsbury’s director Christine Kasoulis said.

Shares in Sanderson climbed by 4.37% to 107.50p on the news.
