Versarien PLC said its turnaround continues to make progress with an increasing level of commercial engagement in its core areas of leisure and construction.
The graphene specialist welcomed the UK rejoining the EU Horizon project next year, stating it will be crucial for its participation in initiatives such as 'Innovative Materials for EU' in addition to applications for funding for research projects in Britain.
In construction, Cementene trials are ongoing while Versarien said it is involved in pilots for more 3D printed concrete structures and Digital Roads research programmes.
In leisure, discussions have been held recently with a number of potential new customers for Graphene-Wear coatings, said the statement.
Talks are also ongoing over the disposals of the Hanwha aerospace businesses with the sale process for AAC Cyroma, a manufacturer of moulded products, said to be the most advanced.
“The company's strategy, which is focused on a light manufacturing model, is progressing as planned," the statement concluded.
