1606 Corp. (OTC:CBDW) shares rocketed more than 50% higher in pre-market trade on Thursday after the company announced its artificial intelligence (AI)-driven online merchandising platform ChatCBD designed for the CBD industry is currently in its final product testing phase and set to launch early next week.
“This development marks a significant step forward, and we're confident that ChatCBD will transform the CBD shopping experience,” 1606 CEO Greg Lambrecht said in a statement.
“We're extremely excited to bring the future of conversational e-commerce to the world.”
ChatCBD is designed to educate users about all things CBD, answer questions and provide personalized product recommendations, empowering consumers to explore a wider range of CBD products and make well-informed purchasing choices.
It is fully integrated with OpenAI’s language model ChatGPT. This provides ChatCBD with natural language processing and machine learning capabilities that allow it to carry out human-like conversations with users.
It is also integrated with Microsoft Azure to ensure ChatCBD operates flawlessly even during times of peak demand.
1606 highlighted that ChatCBD is a proprietary development with the company retaining 100% ownership of its intellectual property. The company said this puts it in a prime position to revolutionize the way users engage with products and services across diverse sectors, not just the CBD industry.
Shares of 1606 added 52.7% at US$0.03 before the opening bell in New York.
1606 is developing innovative technology solutions aimed at solving the top online customer service problems in the CBD industry and all industries with online customers.
