Burger King, Tim Horton's parent looks to shake off recent analyst demerit with earnings next week

Restaurant Brands International (TSX:QSR, NYSE:QSR) is slated to report earnings before the opening bell on November 3, when the company will look to extend its streak of two-straight earnings beats.

The parent company of brands including Tim Hortons (TSX:THI), Burger King, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen (NASDAQ:PLKI) and Firehouse Subs is projected by analysts to post earnings of $0.86 per share on revenue of $1.88 billion, compared to $1.17 per share on revenue of $1.73 billion a year earlier.

Notably, Citigroup lowered its price target for the company to $72 from $83 and issued a Neutral rating.

Shares of Restaurant Brands traded 0.9% higher Wednesday afternoon at $67.59.

A quarter ago, Restaurant Brands International (TSX:QSR, NYSE:QSR) posted earnings of $0.85 per share, topping expectations of $0.76, and revenue of $1.78 billion, above projections of $1.75 billion.
