Hertz Lithium Inc (CSE:HZ, OTCQB:HZLIF) said it has finalized the acquisition of Canuck Lithium Corp, giving it 100% ownership of the ACDC project in James Bay, Quebec.
The ACDC property encompasses 516 contiguous mineral claims spanning 265 square kilometers and is strategically located adjacent to Rio Tinto's Kaanaayaa lithium project and Patriot Battery Metals' Corvette lithium project.
"We are pleased to have completed this acquisition quickly and efficiently before the winter sets into northern Quebec,” CEO Kal Mahli said in a statement.
Hertz has partnered with Mercator Geological Services to initiate exploration activities, targeting the 12 priority zones identified on the ACDC property. These activities will involve prospecting, mapping, and sampling to locate spodumene within enriched mineralized zones.
The company plans to conduct an aerial Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) Survey and obtaining high-resolution ortho imagery to gain a deeper understanding of the ACDC project's lithology. The LiDAR Survey will provide a sub-metric scale topographic model of the ground surface, enabling the identification of geological features and pegmatite structures even in areas with dense vegetation.
Hertz Lithium is focused on acquiring and exploring mineral properties. They have lithium exploration projects in the US and Brazil, and are collaborating with Penn State University on innovative hard rock lithium extraction technology.
