Global Energy Metals Corp (TSX-V:GEMC) reported that its equity investee High-Tech Metals (HTM) has completed its drill program at the Werner Lake project in Ontario.
Samples from HTM’s 798-metre drill program have been sent to its lab services provider for analysis, with assay results expected in two to four weeks.
The drill program follows “extremely encouraging” results from a nickel-copper-cobalt lithogeochemical sampling program which the company said confirmed the copper-cobalt potential of the project in addition to the discovery of high-grade nickel sulphide, Global Energy Metals highlighted.
Of 209 samples, 12 returned grades of more than 1% cobalt or 1% copper and three returned results exceeding 1% nickel.
HTM is evaluating several new project possibilities near Werner Lake that align with its goal of specializing in battery metals, Global Energy Metals said.
HTM is an ASX-listed company focused on the exploration and development of its flagship, 100%-owned Werner Lake cobalt project located in north-western Ontario, within the Kenora Mining District, approximately 85 km north-northwest of Kenora, Ontario and approximately 170 km east-northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Global Energy Metals offers investment exposure to the growing rechargeable battery and electric vehicle market by building a diversified global portfolio of exploration and growth-stage battery mineral assets.
