Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd (TSX-V:GMG, OTC:GMGMF) (GMG) announced that its board of directors has appointed Jack Perkowski to the role of chairman of the board, effective October 24, 2023.
A graduate of Yale and the Harvard Business School, Perkowski brings more than 20 years of experience working on Wall Street, GMG highlighted.
During his career, he has served as head of investment banking at Paine Webber, founded Beijing-based automotive component manufacturing company ASIMCO Technologies, and founded China-focused merchant holding bank JFP Holdings, of which he is now chairman.
"I'm very excited to see Jack becoming chair of the board of directors of the company to support our progression into a commercial manufacturing operation,” GMG CEO Craig Nicol commented.
“It is very clear North America is of strategic importance for GMG for capital markets, end product markets and also potential future operational projects - and so I very much look forward to working with Jack - being based in the USA - to support our transition into an Australian and North American commercial manufacturing operation.”
Perkowski said he was delighted to be appointed by his fellow directors to chair of the board.
“I look forward to leading the board into the next phase of the company's development cycle into a commercial manufacturing operation - especially with focus on North American markets for capital and our products and the potential for Australian and North American operational projects,” he said in a statement.
GMG is a clean-technology company which seeks to offer energy-saving and energy storage solutions, enabled by graphene, including that manufactured in-house via a proprietary production process.
