McDonald’s set to serve up sales and profit growth for 3Q

McDonald's Corp (NYSE:MCD) is expected to report double-digit percentage growth on the top and bottom lines for the third quarter on resilient consumer demand for more affordable fast food options.

For the quarter, analysts expect McDonald’s to post an 11.8% jump in revenue from $5.87 billion to $6.57 billion.

Earnings per share (EPS) is pegged at $3, up 11.9% from EPS of $2.68 in the year-ago quarter.

An earnings beat could be on the cards for the fast-food chain, which has topped consensus EPS estimates for the last four quarters.

McDonald’s shares traded lower on Monday afternoon, down 0.7% at US$256.20. The stock is down 3.1% in the year-to-date.
