One World Lithium initiates bench test of lithium carbonation extraction technology

One World Lithium Inc. (CSE:OWLI, OTCQB:OWRDF) announced that per its previously announced agreement with MatterGreen (MG), MG has commenced a bench test of One World’s lithium carbonation extraction technology.

The company said the bench test will be used as a proof of concept of its novel technology to selectively extract lithium from natural brines.

The bench test proof of concept is expected to be completed within four to six weeks.

The formation of lithium carbonate (precipitate) will be presented graphically, it noted.

“Using the data and photos of the lithium carbonate crystalline precipitates formed in the brine the company plans to license or sell the use of the technology to industry producers of lithium carbonate and, in particular, to end users, the manufacturers of electric vehicles (EVs),” Jack Lifton, an advisor to One World Lithium, said in a statement.

Further, the company said it has, in accordance with its stock option plan, granted incentive stock options to certain consultants and an advisor of the company to purchase up to an aggregate of 2 million shares.

The options are exercisable on or before October 23, 2023, and are priced at $0.05 per share, which was the minimum allowed closing price of One Lithium’s shares on the Canadian Stock Exchange on October 20, 2023.

One World Lithium remains focused on properties of merit that may contain lithium in a brine. The company is also focused on the commercial application of its Direct Lithium Extraction Technology.
