Evergold Corp (TSX-V:EVER, OTC:EVGUF) has announced that first-ever drilling on its DEM copper-gold-silver porphyry prospect in British Columbia is now underway.
The mineral exploration company said the program will encompass up to 1,000 metres of drilling in multiple holes targeting the DEM geochemical trend and underlying high-order geophysical anomalies, with completion anticipated for early November.
"DEM offers the real prospect of delivering a new discovery, to which end we are very much looking forward to the results of this program," Evergold CEO Kevin Keough said in a statement.
"In the event it goes well, the company will be well positioned to embark on a follow-up program in the spring," he added.
The DEM prospect is a roughly four-square kilometre copper-gold-silver porphyry system defined by multiple supporting data sets, including multi-element geochemical anomalism in soils that suggest high discovery potential, according to the company.
Evergold is a mineral exploration company with projects in British Columbia and Nevada.
