Technology Minerals PLC (LSE:TM1)’s 48.25%-owned battery recycling business, Recyclus, has received final clearance from the Environment Agency for fully automated operations at its lead acid battery recycling plant in Tipton, West Midlands.
Commissioning the plant can now begin with monthly volumes being processed over to ramp up over a period of approximately four months.
Tipton is the first of five lead-acid plants in the UK planned by Recyclus and will have the capacity to recycle up to 15,000 tonnes of lead-acid materials during its first full year of operations.
