Sigma Lithium prepares to deliver another 20,000 tonnes of Triple Zero Green Lithium

Sigma Lithium Corp (TSX-V:SGML, NASDAQ:SGML) said it is set to deliver around 20,000 tonnes of its Triple Zero Green Lithium in the next few days.

The shipment to the Port of Vitoria by truck will be ready for loading on October 20, the company said in a statement.

Sigma Lithium's Triple Zero Green Lithium is marked by its environmentally conscious production process, boasting zero tailings with the use of 100% dry-stacked by-products, zero hazardous chemicals via Dense Medium Separation (DMS) in processing, efficient water usage with 100% sewage water used for its plant, which is then fully recirculated, and clean energy reliance achieved through "behind the meter" supply agreements at the Greentech Plant.

"This third shipment of 20,000 tonnes underscores the steadiness of our Greentech Plant's ramp up process,” CEO Ana Cabral said in a statement.

“More importantly, it demonstrates the capabilities and executional steadiness of our technical leadership team onsite as well as the cultural alignment of the entire company around one ethos: large-scale production with 100% of tailings dry stacked and 100% of water reutilized."

The production of the lithium occurs at the state-of-the-art Greentech lithium plant situated at the Grota do Cirilo project in Brazil. Notably, this is the world's first lithium project without a tailings dam, showcasing Sigma Lithium's commitment to environmental responsibility.

"We are proud to continue fulfilling our mission to produce Triple Zero Green Lithium, supporting the energy transition,” Cabral added. “We have a commitment to building the next generation of electric vehicles using lithium materials that are responsibly sourced in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner.”

The company has further taken extensive measures to reduce its carbon footprint, including decreasing explosives load with computerized load simulation strategies, adopting biodiesel fuel for its trucking fleet (with plans to increase to up to 50% by 2025), and offsetting carbon emissions through the purchase of verified carbon credits from Carbonext, aligning with Verra Verified Carbon Standard.

Sigma Lithium is a global leader in lithium production committed to providing sustainably sourced, carbon-neutral lithium concentrate for the burgeoning electric vehicle industry.
