Talon Metals, a TSX-listed base metals company, is in a significant joint venture with Rio Tinto for the Tamarack nickel-copper-cobalt project in central Minnesota. The venture holds substantial potential with 18 kilometers of strike length and high-grade intercepts beyond the current resource zone. Talon owns 51% and has an earn-in right to acquire up to 60% of the project.
Focused on expanding and refining its high-grade nickel mineralization resource, Talon aims to develop a comprehensive mine plan for regulatory submission. Notably, Talon has a pivotal agreement with Tesla to supply 75,000 metric tonnes of nickel in concentrate from Tamarack over a projected six-year period upon commercial production.
Additionally, Talon's Battery Mineral Processing Facility received a substantial funding grant from the US Department of Energy, and the company maintains well-qualified teams for exploration, mine development, and permitting.
