CULT Food Science Corp (CSE:CULT, OTCQB:CULTF) is bringing vegan cat treats to North America.
The Toronto-based company announced the launch of Noochies! Freeze Dried Cat Snacks, the first vegan cat treat available in North America.
Noochies! are designed to complement a cat's existing diet by providing essential nutrients not typically found in meat-based diets. The treats are rich in fiber, B vitamins, and protein comparable to premium cuts of meat.
Traditionally, mainstream cat treat brands have not offered meatless options, primarily due to the perception that cats require animal-based proteins for survival. However, a recent peer-reviewed study has shown that cats can thrive on a vegan diet when supplemented with essential nutrients vital for their well-being.
"Cats need nutrients in meat, sure – but they need a lot of other things, too," noted Joshua Errett, vice president of product development at CULT.
"Our treats provide meaningful health benefits, and cats actually like them," he added.
Noochies! features CULT’s patented ingredients, Bmmune and Bflora, which offer a spectrum of health benefits, including improved digestion, immune system support, and enhanced cognitive and heart health.
The snacks are set to be available in select retail stores in California and can be purchased online at Noochies.co for US residents.
