Moneysupermarket shares rally as update reassures

Moneysupermarket.com (LSE:MONY) put in a solid performance over the past three months, according to analysts at Shore Capital.

Group revenue at the comparison site for the nine months of the year so far was ahead by 14% and 12% in the third quarter, led by insurance and travel both of which were up 38% in the latest quarter.

Money was trickier, recording a 10% third-quarter decline, with home services flat as energy switching ground to a halt.

Shorecap said the shares look undervalued with new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) likely to be an opportunity rather than threat.

The broker has a fair value estimate of 345p based on earnings growing by 41% over the next three years and a 'buy' rating.

Shares rose 8% to 264.4p.
