Spectral AI Inc (NASDAQ:MDAI) announced it has added seven clinical sites to its multi-centre study of its DeepView Wound Imaging System for diabetic foot ulcers.
The company said that its proprietary technology uses multi-spectral imaging and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide clinicians with a healing assessment of diabetic foot ulcers, leading to more accurate and timely diagnosis and therapeutic intervention.
Sites included in the trial are the University of Tennesse Health Science Center, Gentle Foot Care Hilliard, Gentle Foot Care Grove City, Foot and Ankle Specialist of Ohio, Premium Podiatry and Wound Care, New Hope Podiatry Group, and Worthington Foot and Ankle.
Spectral AI said data from these sites would bolster its database for the development of its diabetic foot ulcer healing prediction algorithm for the Deepview technology and support regulatory applications in the United States, United Kingdom and European Union.

“We have selected leading wound care providers for these sites as we have done in the past. I look forward to advancing our DeepView Wound Imaging technology and acquiring high-quality data for this study.”
Spectral AI is a Dallas-based predictive AI company focused on medical diagnostics for faster and more accurate treatment decisions in wound care, with initial applications involving patients with burns and diabetic foot ulcers.
