Aterian encouraged by copper samples at Tata

Aterian PLC (LSE:ATN) has recovered high-grade copper samples from fieldwork at its Tata project in Morocco.

Assays indicated copper up to a grade of 7.02% from the site at Tata, which is one of 17 copper, silver and base metal projects owned by Aterian in Morocco.

Copper mineralisation was identified within two stratigraphic horizons and is visible on the surface, Aterian said, adding that the combined strike length with visible copper mineralisation extends over 18 km.

Charles Bray, Aterian’s chairman, said: "These new results from the Tata project are extremely encouraging, with a substantial target area remaining unexplored.

“The sedimentary-hosted copper potential on this project is highly significant and demonstrates the scale opportunity in Morocco."
