IQ-AI Limited subsidiary Imaging Biometrics has announced a series of developments, including regulatory achievements, advancements in current applications, and new deployments, that it said signal a promising future for its medical imaging technologies and growth trajectory.
In a key regulatory move, IB is pursuing a Current Procedure Terminology (CPT) code specific to its DSC perfusion technology in IB Neuro, a product that facilitates advanced neuroimaging, Michael Schmainda, CEO of the wholl owned subsidiary, outlined in a letter to shareholders.
A dedicated CPT code would facilitate billing, encouraging more healthcare administrators to invest in the platform, he said, with the company expecting a final decision by May 2024.
Deployments of IB Clinic, an upgrade to its legacy platform designed to improve clinical efficiency, are also being ramped up after the system has gained acceptance, Schmainda said.
"These gains in clinical efficiency dovetail perfectly with our strategy of making IB products accessible on larger, more comprehensive platforms, such as those offered by GE Healthare, Bayer, TeraRecon, and our other partners," he said.
The deployment dovetails with the firm’s excitement over potentially receiving a CPT code for IB Neuro.
Additionally, Imaging Biometrics has enhanced IB Nimble, its mobile application for brain cancer centers.
The app was recently deployed for metastatic bone cancer at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
On the pharmaceutical front, the company has also achieved notable regulatory milestones for oral Gallium Maltolate, a treatment currently in phase-1 clinical trials.
These multi-pronged advances highlight IQ-AI's quest to carve a unique space in the ever-evolving landscape of medical imaging and treatment technologies.
