United Lithium increases land position at Kietyönmäki

United Lithium Corp (CSE:ULTH, OTC:ULTHF) has increased its land position at the Kietyönmäki project in Finland by approximately 20,000 hectares (ha).

A new claim reservation was made approximately six kilometres southeast of the main Kietyönmäki tenure, covering one known lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite with historical sampling of 2% Li2O.

This area is highly prospective for further lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite discoveries.

The Main Dyke, within the original 900 ha Kietyönmäki parcel, historically returned strong drill results encouraging United to increase its holdings in the region.

The company expects to release the final results from the 2022-2023 drilling program at Kietyönmäki in the coming weeks. Thirteen diamond drill holes were completed along with some shallow percussion drilling, and assay results are pending.

The plan now is to undertake district scale expanded exploration activity.

“We are pleased to substantially increase our exploration ground in Finland by adding an additional 20,000 hectares creating a district scale project,” said Scott Eldridge, United Lithium's chief executive.

“Historical reports document lithium showings within the new claim boundaries. Finland has demonstrated that it hosts lithium deposits that can be developed. We are encouraged by the success of Keliber and the backing they have received from Sibanye-Stillwater with a total investment of €440mln to obtain 80% ownership in their project. This valuation shows the importance of European lithium projects.”
