Guild Esports PLC (LSE:GILD, OTCQB:GULDF) has signed three top-ranked professional Fortnite players, 'Blacha', 'Chico' and 'PabloWingu', to its professional roster for the arena shooting game.
Blacha, Chico and PabloWingu are widely regarded as industry up-and-comers, having won over $185,000 combined in tournament prize pools this year.
They will compete under the Guild banner in European and international Fortnite tournaments.
Blacha, from Poland, agreed to a six-month contract with Guild, which the company can extend for a further nine months. He recently made a strong appearance in the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) events.
Chico, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, initially signed to represent Guild in the FNCS finals after coming second place in a FNCS event in August.
PabloWingu, from Denmark, signed a one-year contract with Guild, which the company can extend for a further two years. He was part of one of only nine duo teams to qualify for all three FNCS European Majors tournaments this year.
The new players will replace Anas and Hen, who will leave Guild following the conclusion of the FNCS season.
Jasmine Skee, chief executive of Guild Esports, commented: "Guild's Fortnite team is an important jewel in our crown, and I'm delighted to strengthen our long-term position in the iconic esport by signing young three players who have already achieved remarkable success.
“Blacha, Chico and PabloWingu are some of the most promising players in professional Fortnite, and it is a testament to the quality of our coaching and facilities that they have chosen Guild as the location to take their professional careers to the next level."
